Solid Yellow Boxes (Standard and Large Puppet Sized)

Yellow boxes with colorful characters printed all over them were used from 1956 to 1986.

1956 - 1962 The early one had a picture of Mad Hatter on the side just down from the Pelham Puppets logo.

1962 - 1969 The later one had the Snake Charmer in place of Mad Hatter. Some still used till 1986

1963 - 1986 The larger box was used for the big SL Puppets such as the larger ones in the 1963 Animal range.

Next came the Yellow window type boxes with colorful characters printed all over them.

There are several types of Yellow window box.

1968 - 1986 A band across the centre was added in about 1970 as it was found that the cellophane window would often be damages.

There were also special boxes made for certain types of puppet such as the collectors series and the range of Candy Stripe boxed from the 90\'s
