	In this beautifully illustrated volume, author and collector Daniel E Hodges provides an imformative, entertaining, colourful and nostalgia evoking look at the most popular marionettes ever produced for the consumer market. The book covers a wide range of manufactures in its 168 pages. Pages 66 to 100 are full of information on Pelham Puppets and a Quick count gives well over 100 full colour pictures.
Many of the pictures show the great range of puppets that marionette manufactures produced and others show how the puppets were made such a excellent close-up shots of the metal knee joints and another of the toggle feet used by the Pelham company. The quoted values are based on the prices of puppets sold, purchased and advertised over the 5 years before publication.
